The Hotel Inglaterra is the oldest hotel in Cuba, and was inaugurated in 1875. Located in an exceptional setting, in the most authentic heart of Havana, it was the favourite place for social gatherings of Habaneros in the XIX century. It was declared a National Monument for its historic values. The hotel is located near the Capitolio, El Floridita restaurant, the Museum of Fine Arts and the Parque Central. It's only 20 minutes from "Jose Marti" International Airport. Its pavement Cafe has a distinguished history. It used to be known as La Acera del Louvre (the pavement of the Louvre Café) and became a meeting place for supporters of Cuban independence from Spain. On the highest floor, a terrace bar and grill offers magnificent views of the city.
