Cuba features a network that guarantees communication via email, fax, landline or mobile telephone with the rest of the world. Most of the mobile network providers have roaming with Cuba but we suggest you check with your company before traveling.

Most hotels have internet access and some destinations also have internet cafes.

CUBACEL a division of ETECSA (Cuba Telecom Company) is in charge of the mobile communication. Public telephones are available which you can use by inserting pre-paid cards available at hotels or ETECSA offices. You can also make phone calls from the hotel, but you should be aware of the costs.

To call Cuba directly:
- Dial the prefix to obtain an exterior line from the caller's country.
- Dial the code for Cuba: 53
- Dial the code for the province you want to call (see below)
- Finally, dial the telephone number
